Happy New Financial Year!
Hi all, and welcome to our latest newsletter. eCreators are excited to announce we have had our most successful financial year ever, which has recently seen us double our office space and add additional products and personnel to our organisation. This has meant additional heads in Sales, Moodle Development and Content Development.
For those of you who haven’t seen our new space, come on down for a catchup and a tour; or you can view a 3D model here, created by our talented Adam!
Many of you are utilising Moodle 2.7, and at the latest Moodle Moot in Cairns, we got a sneak peek at Moodle 2.8, which is looking great, with the long awaited update to the Moodle gradebook on its way – you’ll love it. Moodle development has been heavy this year and the team have been producing some amazing Moodle Plugins, Moodle themes and Moodle customisations for our range of clients in Australia and beyond.
eCreators are getting many more enquiries from beyond our borders which has seen us appoint a technical support presence in North America, giving us extended support coverage and backup for our 24 hour Moodle Support.
Dean will be speaking at the eLnet congress in August as to how organisations can migrate from enterprise learning management systems to open source products like Moodle and seriously harness the power and flexibility Moodle can offer. More details here: elnet.com.au.
Joining the team are Greg B as Director of Sales. Greg brings a wealth of commercial experience to eCreators and will be setting the strategy for the support of our customers moving forward. Greg is a forward thinker with a high customer service ethic and is charged with making sure our customers at all levels get the support they require. Greg hails from a hospitality background and moved into the VET sector, teaching and running an RTO for the Western Bulldogs Football Club before entering the corporate sector.
Greg is an avid cyclist who will be participating in the Ride to Conquer Cancer for the Peter MacCallum Institute, a 200km ride over 2 days in October. Sponsors are welcome! When time allows, he enjoys relaxing with the family and sharing stories with friends around the wood fired oven.
Dylan K also joins the team in the support function. Coordination of the service desk, Moodle Theme design and internal tech support are just some of his many talents. Dylan has a creative edge and enjoys (like the rest of the world) tuning into a few episodes of GOT. He has a background in multimedia and photography, having worked as a photographer for Museum Victoria and as a freelance web designer.
Kathryn M has joined the team in the Instructional Design space. As a seasoned Instructional Designer, Kathryn will be taking on the educational design of eCreators products as we shape the future of the learning products eCreators will be offering the market.
Kathryn is passionate about all things ‘tea’ (bucking the trend of Melbourne’s favourite hot drink), and loves to get away and explore different parts of the world through the eyes of a campervan whenever she can.
The content development team is expanding and we’re creating some of the coolest content we ever have. From new animated characters, through to gamification and advanced interaction, the courses are really popping and coming to life. Our new off the shelf e-learning programs are just awesome and can be easily customised to suit your organisation, these have just been revamped and really ‘pop’.
e-learning Voiceover work
eCreators this year decided to bring our Voiceover work in house. We now have a stable of talent that contract themselves to us, and the new sound is polished professional and better that ever before. Our talent can begin work on your projects now, so ask for a demo reel and choose your voice! We’re soon to install a sound brick and will be offering recording studio space for hire to our customers.
Meet and greet
Greg and myself will be travelling around the country shortly to pop in to say hi and to ensure all your needs are currently being addressed. We’ll be in contact shortly. We wish to take this opportunity to thank you for being a part of the ongoing success of eCreators now and into the future.
