For the first step we will have a quick chat via phone or video to scope out your requirements. This will include questions surrounding your existing LMS, the amount of users on the site, what version of Moodle you are on and much more.

During this consultation we will go through a checklist to ensure your site is mobile ready (if you’re also setting up an LMS with us, it comes mobile ready).
Once the site has been deemed mobile ready, then we can commence setting up your App! eCreators will supply you with a Statement of Work, and once that’s signed, it’s time for you to supply us with some information! We’ll need from you:
- Graphics: The App icon and splash screen image.
- Brand colours: This styles the interface of the Application.
- Your Moodle site URL
- The name of the App for the Apple App Store & Google Play among the application description and other mandatory information for publication. That’s it!
At this stage, eCreators will run a workshop with you to cover some important information about the app and how to use it!
During this workshop, we will advise on setting up your own accounts in the App and Google Play stores. You will need to do this before the app is built, and provide your Moodle Partner with these account details. This is important as it allows you to own the App!
- Build and Testing
So now that all the necessary information has been gathered and you’re up to date on all the Moodle App know-how, it’s time to build the app.
Once Moodle HQ has concluded their first round of work, the app will be sent to you for testing. This provides you an opportunity to make sure the app is working seamlessly with your LMS.
If there’s anything that needs to change, just let us know and you’ll be provided with an updated app for further testing and approval.
Once you’re 100% happy with your app, Moodle will publish it to both your Google Play and Apple App Store accounts. Congratulations, you have your very own Branded App!
Now that your app has been published and your learners are able to access their learning anywhere, all that’s left is for your app to be maintained. Luckily Moodle will manage updates, bug fixes and push new features to your app.
