Do I have to Upgrade?
Yes, we will be upgrading all of our clients to the latest version of Learnbook on Moodle 3.7.
Will my site be down and how long for? Downtime - production and pilot
We will create both a testing site that contains all of your data for you test before we upgrade your production site to the new version. This will allow you to test the site and ensure that your LMS got everything you need.
I don't want to upgrade, do I have to?
Yes, you will need to upgrade to the new version.
What will happen to the customisations and will they still work post-upgrade?
This will be dependent on the customisations made and whether they will continue to work in the new version.
How often will I receive upgrades moving forward?
Moving forwards you will receive regular upgrades.
Will I lose courses or data when my site gets upgraded?
No, we take regular backups which means that you don’t have to worry about data loss during the upgrade. You will also have access to a testing site to make sure that your new LMS has everything that you need.
Can I test / trial the new version?
Sure, we can organise a demo of the new site with you.
Do I have to pay for this upgrade?
No, as we are going to upgrade everyone there is no charge for this upgrade.
Will the plugins that I have installed on my site still work?
This will be dependent on the plugins that have been installed, whether they have been upgraded to the new version and if they continue to function.
Will training be provided? or do I have to pay?
Throughout the upgrade you will be paired with a Customer Education and Engagement Team member who will assist you through all parts of the upgrade, including walking you through the new site and answering any questions that you might have.
Will I be supported throughout the upgrade process?
Yes, you will be connected with both a developer and custom education and engagement team member who will assist you through both the upgrade process and how to use the new site.
I have a sandbox site, will this be upgraded as well?
Yes, if you have purchased a sandbox site, your sandbox site will also be upgraded to the new version so that both the sandbox and production sites are on the same version.
What happens if something goes wrong during the upgrade, does that mean my data will be lost?
No, we take regular backups which means that if some error happens during the upgrade, your data will be safe.
If we don't like it can we go back to the old version?
Unfortunately not, once the upgrade has been performed you won’t be able to go back to the previous version.
